Stirring Up
Good Times —
Our Story
How did Pirogue Adventures
Get Started?
Stirring Up Good Times… Cajun Style!
It all began as a simple idea —
to spice up the Mississippi River Cruises with a hearty dose of Cajun Culture.
What started as a single excursion for American Cruise Lines has turned into something a whole lot more flavorful.
We invited riverboat guests to cook up their very own T-Pot Jambalaya, told ’em a few tall (but true!) tales of Cajun folklore, and watched as people from all over fell in love with the food, the music, the culture—and yes, THEIR VERY OWN T-Pot Jambalaya.
And boy, do they love it!
We thought everyone grew up like this… Turns out, not everyone gets to “pass a good time” Cajun-style.

Bruce
"mon Capitaine"
“What I like most is seeing our guests pass a good time while cooking their very own personal best T-Pot Jambalaya. I truly want every guest to be more impressed with themselves than they are with our awesome Pirogue Adventures team! It’s soooo much fun bringing joy to people’s lives! Ayeee!!!”

Bryant
"Dogg"
It's simple.
I love to show people how to cook like a cajun.

Karin
“Chicory Coffee Queen”
my favorite part about working at Pirogue Adventures is sharing Louisiana s rich culture, history, and cuisine. I love working with our guests who travel on American Cruise Line boats traveling on the Mississippi River coming from all over the world... it s not a job... it s a joy and we all have a lot of fun!

Andrea
"Lagniappe Landry"
I love bringing my guitar to lead sing-alongs with our guests...
🎶Jambalaya, Crawfish Pie, Filet Gumbo...🎶

Aly
“Pirogue Princess”
My favorite is getting to share a smile and learn things about people from all over the world!
It’s so neat getting to share our culture and hear a little bit about theirs.

Cody
"Cajun Cowboy"
What I love most are the interactions with different people from all around the world and the way we get to light up everyone’s trip down south.

Lillie
“Joie de Vivre”
I love introducing visitors to our rich Cajun culture... and having beaucoup fun along the way.
What truly surprised us...?
The joy it brought to our guests and us.
Sharing a culture that’s in our bones and in our bowls has been a blessing we never saw coming.
Now, Pirogue Adventures has grown beyond only riverboat guests. We’ve cooked up
our own line of Cajun seasoning and browning/seasoning sauce, and now we’re working on our Cajun Specialty bread with a little extra lagniappe. Folks have started asking for more—
- team-building events,
- family fun,
- and Cajun cooking adventures that bring people together.
And that’s what we’re all about:
bringing people closer, one good laugh, and one great meal at a time.
So come join the adventure. We do all da’ prep work and we do da’ dishes – you do
da’ cooking!
Stir the pot.
Dance a little.
Laugh a lot.
You gonna make your “personal best” T-Pot Jambalaya you and your team ever tasted.
Laissez les bon temps rouler,
The Pirogue Adventures Team
